Experience Stockholm’s Country Musicians – First Aid Kit At the Observatory Santa Ana, April 17th.

With a new album as of January of this year, this sister act is further proving their strong sound and confidence in their identity as artists. While they are daughters to a rock musician and a cinematographer, the Söderberg sisters have steered clear of simply following in their parent’s footsteps. First Aid Kit notably draws inspiration from “Down to the River to Pray” by Alison Krauss, as well as other country folk singers such as Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan. Their music, and their most recent album, Ruins, reflects these influences clearly – along with a youthful, pop twist.

Being from the outskirts of Stockholm – country music is not the expected or typical music to come from this region. This upbringing with artist parents combined with Johanna and Klara’s natural draw to country music has in turn produced some of the most intricate and unique genres of music in the industry today. Ruins captures the same nostalgic and personal feeling of folk and country music, while adapting it to the perspective of young women in 2018.

On both an international and U.S. tour, it is no surprise the First Aid Kit audiences expand to a wide variety of demographics and regions. To the young girl in Ohio who loves country music, to the hipster in London who loves genre blends – First Aid Kit’s music offers something for everyone. Their performance at The Observatory in Santa Ana between Coachella’s weekend one and weekend two proves this even further. This show makes their performance accessible to both the typical upper-class Coachella goer, as well as the casual or more core fan that goes to an individual show. No matter which category you fall into – don’t miss First Aid Kit in Los Angeles this April!
