Hardcore Los Angeles band, The Bronx, is a band that takes music beyond recording an album every couple of years. The Bronx is deeply involved in film and television, as well as cultural events and movements. The Bronx has two Mariachi albums in addition to their punk rock albums. The band simultaneously books sets as a rock band, while also booking shows as a mariachi band. This duality is incredibly relevant, and refreshing to see the intersection of the two musical art forms and how their fans intersect.

The band is deeply respected in both fields, and proves that artists do not have to choose or leave out crucial part of their identities to fit a specific fan base. The Bronx has earned their place in the punk world touring with Warped Tour, and appearing in the film What We Do Is Secret as Black Flag. Meanwhile, Mariachi El Bronx currently performs between segments on El Rey Network – a television network founded by the famous Mexican American filmmaker, Robert Rodriguez. In 2017, The Bronx released (V) their fifth studio album. The album received positive reviews claiming they have affirmed and held their spot in the hardcore punk genre.

The representation The Bronx brings in both the mariachi and punk worlds, is a beautiful example of the mix of culture and subcultures in Los Angeles. It can be certain their show at the Glass House in Pomona will be an experience full of energy and passion fueled by the city and die-hard fans.
