Dr. Octagon Releases First Ever Official Music Video for “Flying Waterbed”

Dr. Octagon has released a music video for “Flying Waterbed”. This is the first ever official music video released by the artist. This follows the announcement of the upcoming album Moosebumps: An Exploration Into Modern Day Horripilation and the live event at the Belasco, Los Angeles. This also comes after the reuniting of Kool Keith, Dan the Automator and DJ QBert as Dr. Octagon and the confirmation of new Dr. Octagon record.

The two singles “Octagon Octagon” and “Area 54” precedes the release of this new song. This music video is the first music video in 22 years following their debut single and video “Blue Flower”.

According to the press release, Dan the Automator states “It was very pure. We did everything on our own and made the record the way we wanted to make it,” Dan the Automator has also stated “There was no label telling us what to do. Dr. Octagon is not a contemporary thing or a retro thing. It’s always looked to the future.”

The song features a guest appearance from Interpol’s Paul Banks. Throughout the video the song features continuous moves and poses before the look of disapproval and boredom. An individual continues to train until they gain the approval. There are other images of dragons and special effects. The music video can be watched below.
