A Tribe Called Quest Release Star-Studded “Final” Video for “Space Program” Featuring Common, Questlove, Rosario Dawson, Alicia Keyes, Pharrell and More

Legendary rap group A Tribe Called Quest release “Final” video for their song, The Space Program, off of their latest album We got it from Here… Thank you for your service  This is the first video released from the group since last years “Dis Generation” and their third video released overall from the album.

The album received great reviews from critics, but not so good ones from the Grammy committee. The album received zero nominations  at the Grammy’s this year and member Q-Tip was not too pleased. He went on a video rant that consisted of five Instagram videos expressing his feelings towards not receiving any nominations. The group even closed the Grammy Awards show the year prior. “Y’all get us out there to perform last year and close and shit, and y’all don’t get us no f***ing nominations!?” Q-Tip says in his rant.

In the video, it shows remaining members Q-Tip, Jarobi White, and Ali  Shaheed Muhammad in a spaceship. The video also features cameos from many well known musicians and actors, including Alicia Keys, Anderson .Paak, Common, Questlove, Erykah Badu and Rosario Dawson.  The video ends with pictures of late group member Phife Dawg, who passed away just before finishing their last album . Phife Dawg, real name Malik Taylor, passed away from diabetes at the age of 45.He had health complications for many years and had kidney surgery in 2008 and stated in a documentary that “it’s really a sickness. He continues to say that it was “like straight up drugs, I’m just addicted to sugar.”  The new video was dedicated to him. Check out the trailer for the video below and watch the full video on Apple Music.
