Linkin Park member Mike Shinoda has announced that he will be releasing his first full-length studio album, Post Traumatic, on June 15. With the album announcement, Shinoda released two new songs from the album, “Crossing A Line” and “Nothing Makes Sense Anymore” along with their music videos. The solo album is set to have 16-tracks and is Shinoda’s first release apart from Linkin Park since his three-song EP, also called Post Traumatic, in January. The EP came shortly after the death of his band mate, Chester Bennington. Bennington had taken his own life last July, leaving many shocked and heartbroken. The band hosted a three hour tribute show for Bennington October 28, 2017 at The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA. It included appearances from members of Blink-182, Avenged Sevenfold and System of a Down along with “a crowd of more than 17,000,” according to Rolling Stone.

In a press release for his new LP, Shinoda hopes it will help anyone who has experienced a loss in their life. He states “It’s a journey out of grief and darkness, not into grief and darkness.” ‘If people have been through something similar, I hope they feel less alone,’ he says. ‘If they haven’t been through this, I hope they feel grateful,” he continues to say. Both of Shinoda’s new videos showcase that as well as his lyrics.
