CHVRCHES have released a new song off of their upcoming album Love Is Dead, which, is set to be released on May 25th. The new song, “Never Say Die” is the third single off of the album, following “My Enemy” with Matt Beringer. “Never Say Die” is one of lead singer’s Lauren Mayberry’s favorite songs on the record, according to Pitchfork. She states “‘Never Say Die’ is one of my favorite songs on the record because it really leans into the juxtaposition of what we do—the mixture between the dark and the light,” Lauren Mayberry said in a statement. It is a slower song for the Scotland based group that talks about fighting for a relationship to never end.“ Weren’t you gonna be sorry and weren’t you gonna be pure? Weren’t we gonna be honest and weren’t we gonna be more?” Mayberry sings. Listen to “Never Say Die” below:
The indie-pop band also revealed the tracklist for their upcoming album. The album will contain 13-tracks, with Matt Beringer being the only feature. They will also be making some music festival appearances this summer including Spain’s Primavera Sound Festival, New York’s Governors Ball, and Glasgow’s TRNSMT Festival in July.
