Singer-songwriter Natalie Prass has released her second single, “Sisters”, off her upcoming sophomore album The Future and The Past. The soulful track is rich with themes of feminism and unity at a time when female empowerment has gained more traction than ever before.
The accompanying video for “Sisters” echoes the sentiments of the song. Showcasing four animated women, the video celebrates diversity of color, style, and culture. It is a literal kaleidoscope reflecting that which exists in the real world. The psychedelic video is easy to digest, providing a fun companion piece to the funky track. The video presents a subtle message and allows the songwriter to drive home the narrative of the song through her meaningful lyrics. Prass has been working hard to follow-up her 2015 debut, shifting gears and expanding her versatility through experimentation with new sounds. For the upcoming LP, Prass will be teaming up with ATO Records. The 12-track album will drop this June.
In the meantime, Prass has just finished her run as the opening act for Fleet Foxes on their tour this month. She will continue to tour in April through June, promoting the upcoming record with shows across the country.
