Lollapalooza Argentina organizers had to cancel the third and final day of this year’s edition due to severe inclement weather conditions, including heavy storms, lightning and winds, says Pitchfork. The decisions has been made in cooperation with Argentinian Government and authorities and those who had tickets for the event will be entitled for a refund.

As mxdwn reported, the lineup included prestigious names such as Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, LCD Soundsystem, the National, David Byrne, Kygo, and more. Most of the artists who were scheduled to perform had recently released new material they were ready to support through such an important platform as Lollapalooza. Among these there’s Lana Del Rey, The Killers, LCD Soundsystem and Imagine Dragons. Whereas groups like Red Hot Chili Peppers and Chance The Rapper had been on tour already.

Moreover, a third day in all South American editions of the festival (Brasil, Argentina and Chile) was only last year added to the schedule, whereas in Chicago the event was extended to four days to commemorate its 25th anniversary.

Similarly, at Lollapalooza Chicago in 2017, many artists, such a Lorde, Lil Uzi Vert and Porter Robinson saw their slot cancelled because of severe weather conditions, says mxdwn.
