Flower Boy Tyler, The Creator Returns Home for a Mid Tour Climax on April 11th

Hot off his first ever Grammy nomination as a solo artist, Tyler the Creator returns to his hometown of Los Angeles, California to perform songs off of his latest album Flower Boy. This is the rapper’s fourth solo album, and much like Tyler, the album has sent a shockwave through press headlines everywhere. Flower Boy heavily discusses sexuality and raises questions among fans if Tyler himself is gay or bisexual himself. Lyrics like “I’ve been kissing white boys since 2004” and “currently looking for 95’ Leo” have left fans questioning Tyler’s intentions behind the album as whole. However, regardless of Tyler the Creator’s sexuality, the album is packed full of features including A$AP Rocky, Jaden Smith, Frank Ocean, Lil Wayne, Rex Orange County, and many more.

Tyler the Creator’s show at the Shrine on April 11th will welcome him back to California just before he heads to Indio for Coachella. Naturally he will be surrounded by his wolf gang of friends, including opening acts TACO and Rex Orange County, but fans should expect surprise appearances from other features on the album as well.

While in film school Tyler was actively involved in production both in and outside of class, and took on several thesis level writing courses. An artist at heart, Tyler's love for music carries into her work as a filmmaker whether it is making music videos or finding acute references to her favorite songs when composing new music for her films. After college, Tyler worked for two years as a non-scripted and digital television producer creating content for MTV2, Amazon Digital, and Kevin Hart's Comedy network, LOL. She now works in branded content, pairing artists and influencers with stories and brands that organically fit into their daily routine. Aside from this, Tyler loves the outdoors and is a brand ambassador for mobile digital camera REMOVU. She also still regularly carries out her love of screenwriting with her own original screenplays.
