Rapper Tyler, The Creator has recently announced the cancellation of a batch of dates from his upcoming tour, specifically the South American ones. Santiago, Chile, Buenos Aires, Argentina, Sao Paulo, Brazil and Bogota, Colombia, in fact, are not included in the list anymore, according to Pitchfork.

The artist is coming from a successful, sold out North American tour, which he co-headlined with Vince Staples. The two were about to move south towards South America, when an announcement came on Tyler’s facebook page, saying that said dates were in fact cancelled.

While an official explanation hasn’t been provided yet, the rapper has justified the decision first with a simple “for personal reasons” on facebook and later on twitter with a bizarre “sometimes a duck isn’t a jean jacket”.

Tyler has been touring in support of his most recent album titled Flower Boy, which was released in 2017 and included quite a few prestigious appearances such as  Frank Ocean, ASAP Rocky, Anna of the North, Lil Wayne, Kali Uchis, Steve Lacy, Estelle, Jaden Smith and Rex Orange County. The record was also nominated for Best Rap Album at this year’s Grammy awards.

Kali Uchis, however, has recently enlisted Tyler for her song “After The Storm”, alongside Bootsy Collins and BADBADNOTGOOD. The track will appear in Uchis’ new upcoming album.

As reported by Pitchfork, a music video has been released for Uchis’ song, in which she is depicted eating Bootsy Collins flavored cereal and buying a bag of seeds which grow into Tyler, The Creator. The new album is set to be released in Spring 2018.
