Nekrogoblikon and Brendon Small Join Forces for Cinematic New Video for “Dressed As Goblins”

Heavy Metal band Nekrogoblikon teamed up with comedic musician Brendon Small for the music video of their latest track titled “Dressed As Goblins”. The song is the first single off of their awaited new record Welcome To Bonkers, set for release on April 13th, 2018.

Small, who is known for being the co-creator of Metalocalypse and Dethklok, wrote and directed the video, which comes 6 years after their viral “No One Survives”. The former is, however, just as odd and bizarre as the latter.

Guitarist Alex Alereza explained that “Brendon came up with a dark and emotional — yet absurdly hilarious — story about [band mascot] John Goblikon that really highlights everything we’ve loved about the character”, Kerrang has reported.

Vocalist Nicholas “Scorpion” Von Doom, on the other hand, revealed that he is author of most of the new songs in the new album, which, according to him, prioritizes melody more than any other Nekrogoblikon release. Jason ‘Vagina Dr. Dad Mr. Lippington’ Suecof, best known for being a member of Trivium and The Black Dahlia Murder, also made his contribution to the record, which was very well received by the group. Von Doom, in fact, said that  “he brought everything up another level, reports Kerrang.

Small, on the other hand, had recently shared a 7 minute-long short video a track off of his project Galaktikon latest record titled Galaktikon II: Become the Storm. The track is called Nightmare and, according to Loudwire, is a love letter that Small addressed to all his favorite filmmakers, those who shaped his creativity, such as Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and more.

Nekrogoblikon will also make an appearance at the last-ever Warped Tour at the Mutant White Lightning stage.
