Canada’s most prominent music festival has been unveiling snippets of their impressive lineup for their annual Osheaga music and arts festival. Today, the organizers of the festival have revealed its entire 2018 lineup. The latest reveal features headliners Florence + The Machine, Arctic Monkeys and Travis Scott. All three acts are set to close a festival night.
The 13th annual event isn’t the first time these acts have performed at Osheaga. British band Arctic Monkeys, who are set to play Saturday, Aug. 4, headlined the festival back in 2014 and performed for the first time at the festival in 2017. Florence + the Machine who will perform in the Sunday, Aug. 5 slot, headlined in 2015 and did a memorable performance in 2012.
Through the festival’s mobile app, Osheaga began releasing snippets of those performing during the three-day festival. The early sneak peak of the lineup included Tyler the Creator, Odesza, Portugal The Man, Manchester Orchestra, and Franz Ferdinand.
New York rockers Yeah Yeah Yeahs are also slated to appear at this festival performing on Friday, they headlined back in 2009.
Some of the other previously announced performers are Post Malone, Blondie, The National and Dua Lipa; all would be taking the stage during the three-day festival. Other big-name acts who are set to appear at Osheaga this year include James Blake, Rae Sremmurd, Khalid, James Bay, St. Vincent, and Lykke Li.
The three-day multi-genre event first began in 2006 and has quickly become a beacon of all things music. Osheaga has something for everyone. Whether you are a fan of electronic, pop, folk, hip-hop, indie or rock, there is a music artist for you. That is what makes Montreal’s Osheaga Music and Arts festival one of the better music festivals out there.
Last year’s festival was headlined by the Weekend, Lorde, Muse, and included performances by MGMT, Alabama Shakes, Run The Jewels, Liam Gallagher and more.
The summer’s festival will take place during a three day weekend starting August 3rd and will wrap up on Sunday, the 5th. The event will occur in Parc Jean-Drapeau and held on Île Notre-Dame. Fans can purchase passes starting at $320 (a general admission that is valid for all three days) as well as Gold and Platinum passes that are available at both $585 to $1150. Tickets are on sale now on the festival’s official website. There will also be single day passes that will go on sale later as we get closer to the festival’s date.
