JanSport is coming back for its ninth SXSW with bands and a bonfire under the big Texas sky. This year they have partnered with Noisey, and the lineup features a mix of rap and punk. Shame, an emerging band from London will be bringing the post-punk rock vibes along with Chicago rapper Joey Purp who most recently worked with Chance the Rapper. To round up the lineup, rapper Smino will be playing off his debut album and representing the women will be Tierra Whack bringing her own twist on hip-hop. RSVP after the jump!
8 PM- 2 AM Wednesday, March 14th @ Cheer Up Charlies, 900 Red River Street, Austin, TX 78701
More bands are set to play including Bby Mutha, Powers Pleasant and Angel & Dren which will make for a great night just like years past for JanSport. This is a 21+ event and you have to RSVP here to get in. It’s at a great venue with an outdoor stage and plenty of dancing room.
The line is famous for being very long for this as it’s one of the few night parties during SXSW Music that doesn’t require a badge so get there early. The perks of the line are free backpacks for everyone while you’re chilling. I still have mine from 2 years ago and I rock it every SXSW.
