Cut Worms Announce Debut Album Hollow Ground for May 2018 Release and Share New Hand-Painted Video for “Don’t Want To Say Goodbye”

Cut Worms is a band that just keeps building momentum, releasing a promising EP and a single over the last few months. They’ll also be playing shows with King Tuff later this year and will make stop at SXSW 2018.

Today Cut Worms, the nom de guerre for Brooklynite Max Clarke, has even more news with the announcement of a debut LP to be released on May 4 on Jagjaguwar. The record will be called Hollow Ground and it was produced by Jason Finkel and Jonathan Rado of Foxygen. We also know that there is a new single to accompany the new record announcement, titled “Don’t Want To Say Goodbye.” The song’s video is a hand-drawn accompaniment to the wistful, jangling pop song. Despite its retro influences, Cut Worms as always has a bit of a timelessness to his songwriting. The animation on the video is done by John Andrews, check it out below.

Hollow Ground Tracklist:

1. How It Can Be
2. Coward’s Confidence
3. Don’t Want To Say Good-bye
4. It Won’t Be Too Long
5. Till Tomorrow Goes Away
6. Like Going Down Sideways
7. Think I Might Be In Love
8. Cash For Gold
9. Hanging Your Picture Up To Dry
10. Mad About You
