At The Gates Releases Classic New Song “Drink From The Night Itself”

The realm of metal music has seen a large growth in not just popularity but in releases as well. This time we will be hearing some new music from the Swedish melodeath bosses At The Gates. According to Brooklyn Vegan their album Slaughter of the Soul, which was released in 1995, did not see a follow up until 2014 with their absolutely revered  At War With Reality. See the tracklist below. However, At The Gates fans will not have to wait another 19 years for some new music.

Four years later At The Gates have announced a new album To Drink from the Night Itself which is to be released this early summer on May 18th of this year. Unfortunately, the album will not feature lyrics and music from songwriter Anders Bjorler. However, have no fear as their new song, which was released today, sounds like the same old At The Gates. Check out the song below that is accompanied by the official video directed by Patric Ullaeus.

The song is titled “To Drink from the Night Itself,” a perfect introduction to their upcoming album of the same name. If you are itching to seem them then do not worry as At The Gates will return to the United States this month for a show at the Decibel Metal & Beer Festival. So far this is their only U.S. date, but they are touring through Europe and Asia. Check out their tour here.
