Secret Sounds SXSW 2018 Party Announced ft. Gang of Youths

Veteran Australian party starters Secret Sounds, hailing from Bryon Bay, are bringing the party from the world down under for SXSW to rock our socks off. Event producers Secret Sounds has a strong list of starting festivals like Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival for the party goers of Australia and are bringing the hottest of the hot 100 from famed Triple J radio station stateside.

Secret Sounds will be taking over The Sidewinder, a legit venue that will be graced with artists like Gang of Youths, Irish singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy, Cali based hip-hop DUCKWRTH, indie awesome Starcrawler, Triple J discovered G Flip, folk rock artist Stella Donnelly, Manchester indie pop Pale Waves, Liza Anne, Nilüfer Yanya and girl duo, Ider.

1PM – 5:30AM Sunday, March 14th at Sidewinder, 715 Red River St, Austin, TX 78701

Our top picks for this party are Gang of Youths and DUCKWRTH. Gang of Youths new album “Go Father In Lightness” is sure to be heavily featured in their set. Songs like Fear and Trembling, Atlas Drowned and Keep Me In the Open will have your punk rock jump on full with a mix of sultry heartfelt tunes. DUCKWRTH on the other hand, will groove you out with smooth LA lyrics from the tracks Bernal Heights and MICHUUL. He’s like Tame Impala meets Outkast. This is shaping up to be a great set.

This party is rated 21+ so make sure you bring that ID. There’s no RSVP and The Sidewinder is sure to fill up quickly. Be prepared to wait in line but with this killer line up it will be worth it. If you are currently in Austin, you can start a line and I’ll let you borrow a sleeping bag. See ya there!
