Before 2017 came to a close, electronic veteran Moby released his single “Like Motherless Child,” he followed it up by releasing yet another track titled “Mere Anarchy.” Now, just days before the release of his 15th studio album, Everything Was Beautiful, And Nothing Hurt, Moby shares his third single off his forthcoming album.

“This Wild Darkness” is the new music video unveiled by Moby todayDirected by Moby along with Rob Bralver, the video for “This Wild Darkness” is mainly in black and white with just flashes of color as visuals of space, creation, and destruction come together. Moby appears with a backing gospel choir as he sings lyrics of loneliness, “I can’t stand on my own anymore.” A beautiful, yet haunting song that embodies what most of us are feeling.

In a Twitter post, uploaded the other day, Moby commented about the new track saying that “’The world is a baffling place, full of confusion and darkness. ‘This Wild Darkness’ is essentially an existential dialog between me and the gospel choir – me talking about my confusion, the choir answering with longing and hope.” Watch “This Wild Darkness”
