Heavy Montreal Festival has announced its 2018 lineup. Heavy Montreal is returning this year after their last summer festival in August 2016 with a strong lineup. The event is taking place at Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal, QC, from July 28th to 29th, following an additional ‘Heavy In The City‘ event on July 27th.
The Heavy Montreal Festival is an annual two-day, heavy metal, and hard rock summer festival.
The festival was founded in 2008 and throughout the years, has welcomed many legendary bands including Iron Maiden, Mötley Crüe, Disturbed, Dethklok, Rob Zombie, Korn, Avenged Sevenfold, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Alice Cooper, KISS, Motörhead, Godsmack, In Flames, Slipknot, Marilyn Manson, Deftones, and System of a Down.
This year’s headliners are Avenged Sevenfold, Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson.
Avenged Sevenfold, the American heavy metal band known for their diverse rock sounds, have released seven studio albums to date. Their latest album The Stage features some of the band’s most ambitious and remarkable works.
The prominent American heavy metal musician and filmmaker Rob Zombie, is also performing at the Heavy Montreal festival. The artist emerged as the founding father of the White Zombie band. “Hands of Death (Burn Baby Burn)” was Zombie’s first solo song with Alice Cooper in 1996. The song was later nominated for the Best Metal Performance award at the 39th Annual Grammy Awards.
The controversial Marilyn Manson is a heavy metal, hard rock icon, whose works have achieved a worldwide success. Manson has released ten studio albums to date, three of which have been awarded the platinum status. Manson has been ranked number 44 in the top 100 heavy metal vocalists chart.
The Heavy Montreal festival lineup will also feature, Gojira (also know as Godzilla, a heavy metal band based in Bayonne, France), Emperor (the influential Norwegian black metal band), Underoath (A metalcore band based in Tampa, Florida), Hollywood Undead (the American rap rock band founded in 2005 in Los Angeles, California), Trivium (a heavy metal band from Orlando, Florida), wTrivium, Sleep, Asking Alexandria, Alestorm, Ratt, I Prevail, Baroness, Voivod, Between The Buried And Me, Nile, Witchcraft, Red Fang, Tech N9ne, Napalm Death, The Black Dahlia Murder, Eyehategod, Igorrr, Glory Hammer, Helix, Perturbator, Necrotic Mutation, Power Trip, Blind Witness, The Agonist, Havok, Ultra Vomit, Bad Omens, Intervals, Jinjer, Get The Shot, Khemmis, and lastly Nonhuman Era.
