Twin Shadow has been hiding in the shadows for some time now, however, the silence has finally been broken. Through a recent press release, Twin Shadow has announced a new album called Caer that will be released this April 27th through record giants Warner Bros Records and Reprise. Not only have they just announced this, but they have also presented us with the gift of two new singles, one of which features Los Angeles’ very own Haim. Check out the audio videos below.
Twin Shadow’s “Saturdays” is a classic 1980’s rock song featuring beautiful harmonies that exchange between the voices of Haim and Twin Shadow singer George Lewis Jr. Pushing the song forward, Lewis Jr. uses a classic rock guitar emulated by a chorus pedal. If you want to hear how 1980’s pop would sound if it was discovered in our current time, listen and look no further.
The second single from the highly anticipated Caer is also accompanied by an official music video which you can watch, in full, below. This video and song, unlike its counterpart “Saturdays,” gives off a more homemade sense in that the cinematography uses filters to give off the feeling of a 1980s or 1990s home movie. The music, though, expertly deceives and exceeds all expectations. The voice is filtered through an autotune modulator and uses instruments in minimalist and cinematic medium. This video not only impresses the eyes and ears but your brain, too, will be amazed with this new face of Twin Shadow.
If you want to seem him perform an amazing set full of new songs, check out the tour below. This new Twin Shadow tour will also feature performances by Beck and alt-J.
