Radiohead has just announced a list of new dates in North America, as part of their 2018 tour in support of their latest release A Moon Shaped Pool, which came out in 2016. The British band will take the stage in major American and Canadian cities like New York City, Philadelphia, Boston, Montreal and Toronto, as announced on their website.
However, since the release of their latest LP, members of the band have been quite busy with their parallel projects. According to Rolling Stone, in fact, besides releasing a reissue of their groundbreaking album Ok Computer, celebrating its 20th anniversary and collaborating with composer Hans Zimmer on a new version of “(Ocean) Bloom”, drummer Philip Selway wrote the soundtrack for the film Let Me Go, guitarist Jonny Greenwood composed the score for Paul Thomas Anderson’s Phantom Thread and Thom Yorke revealed his contribution to the Rag & Bone advertisement with a new track titled Why Can’t We Get Along.
Greenwood and Yorke, however, seem to be the most productive members of the band. As well as cultivating their own projects, they have, in fact, been performing as a duo in several occasions. Greenwood has also performed with the band Junun, supporting Radiohead in 2017 and Yorke has recently announced that he will be performing solo at this year’s Sonar Festival, their website reveals.
Moreover, Rolling Stone reports that Yorke, whose latest solo release was 2014 Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes, is working on the score for the upcoming Suspiria remake.
