Alice Glass Speaks Out As Ethan Kath Is Accused By More Women of Sexual Abuse

Alice Glass recently accused former band mate Ethan Kath of sexual abuse. Propelled by Glass’ accusations, other women have come forward and claimed of being sexually abused by Kath. Kath has responded to such allegations by suing Glass for defamation

Alice Glass and Ethan Kath are long-time musical partners. Before founding Crystal Castle in 2005 together, Kath joined Glass’ old project Kill The Cheerleader on bass. However, the Daily Beast reports that, according to Glass herself, the two were also romantically involved.

Over the years, the band grew very popular around the world. Led by the charismatic duo, the project took off and ended up headlining festivals and shows. Until Glass published a statement in which she announced her hiatus from the band to pursue a solo career.

Only much later, precisely in October 2017, the artist revealed, in lengthy statement, how her former band mate allegedly took advantage of her. In such statement, she blames Kath of having taken advantage of her young age to entice her by giving her drinks and insistently stalking her. However, it was only after they joined forced to create Crystal Castles that, according to Glass, he became not only physically but emotionally abusive.

As mentioned above, Kath sued Glass and her current boyfriend for defamation. In statement released by his lawyers at the time of the lawsuit, Kath clarifies how Glass’ accusations are pure fictional and devoid of any element of truth. To which she responded by highlighting the fact that none of their bandmates dared questioning let alone stopping Kath’s behavior.

Moreover, the Star reported that the Toronto police is currently investigating Kath and that three other women, whose names are being kept undisclosed for their legal protection, have come forward and brought sexual assault charges against him. Crystal Castles (who now feature new singer) have had several shows cancelled in the wake of Glass’s accusations.
