Fans of the show have an extra treat as Shanola Hampton (V) and Steve Howey (Kevin) will be guest bartending the event! Read more for RSVP link and full event details.
Saturday, March 17th @ Clive Bar, 609 Davis St, Austin, TX 78701
Check out culturecollide.com/shameless to RSVP. The event is 21+ only, though while the poster mentions “SXSW badges Welcome”, day parties should be open to the public with RSVP. Night events will likely be badge only, or at least badge-first! The day party runs from 2pm to 7pm with acts on the hour. You’ll catch shows from The Nude Party, Post Animal, Shamir, Tank and the Bangas, and WAVVES in that order. If you have official credentials or are otherwise lucky enough to stay into the night shows, you’ll catch White Reaper, BRONCHO, Low Cut Connie, and DJ Costa from 9pm-1am!
For those unfamiliar, Las Vegas’ hard-to-classify modern rapper/singer/songwriter Shamir released his second album Hope in 2017, fresh off touring with Years & Years and Troye Sivan with his 2014 debut Northtown. New Orleans-based Tank and the Bangas have been on the soul/funk scene for a while, known for their wildly entertaining shows and influenced by lead Tank’s spoken word background. They notably unanimously won NPR’s 2017 Tiny Desk Concert competition allowing them to film a prestigious episode of the popular performance series. Alt-Indie rockers WAVVES have been growing steadily since their 2008 debut, most recently touring with Blink-182 in 2017. Be sure to show up early to catch this stacked lineup!
