The legendary punk band from California, The Descendents are kicking off their brand new 2018 North American headline tour this Spring. The group is set to perform in support of their critically acclaimed seventh studio album Hypercaffium Spazzinate which came out in July of 2016. Shows will begin on April 12th in St. Petersburg, Florida and will continue on throughout the year. Fans can purchase tickets when they go on sale Friday, February 16th at 10 am local time.
Before the band hits the road for their long-awaited return, they will make a couple of appearances at both Orange County’s annual tattoo and music convention Musink inCosta Mesa, California and Atlantic City’s Beer & Music Festival in Atlantic City.
The Descendents are a punk band formed in 1978 by drummer Bill Stevenson, bassist Karl Alvarez, vocalist Milo Aukerman, and guitarist Stephen Egerton in Manhattan Beach, California. Their first full-length debut came in 1982 with Milo Goes to College. After that, the band has delivered five more studio albums before unfortunately going on an extended hiatus. The band came back in 2016 when they released Hypercaffium Spazzinate, their first Descendents album in 12 yearsfollowing 2004’s Cool To Be You. The album was the band’s highest-charting record on the Billboard 200 chart.
UPDATE (3/26): Sibling punk band Radkey will be joining Descendents on their “2018 Tourage,” playing select shows with the legendary punk band. Radkey promise to deliver new music during their set as they prepare to release a new album.
