Bishop Nehru Announces New Album Elevators for March 2018 Release

In a recently released, Claymation style trailer, the 21-year-old Markel Scott, better known as Bishop Nehru, announces his upcoming new album Elevators, which is set to be released on March 16th, 2018. Bishop, in a collaboration with the multi-genre producer and the hip-hop legend MF DOOM, has set to create an amazing new album. The forthcoming album trailer is created by Raphael Truffi Bortholuzzi of Grandmondo Miniatures, and is an introduction to Nehru’s vision for the album, the concept of Ascension and Free Falling, which serve as the 2 acts of the album. The album consists of 10 tracks and marks the second partnership between Bishop Nehru and the legendary Doom, after their last album NehruvianDOOM.

“This project is a collection of my feelings straight from my heart, all of my ideas were created specifically off of instinct and intuitive occurrences,” In a press statement, clarifies Bishop Nehru on Elevators. “This album is my answer to the question, ‘What would you say your music sound like?’ My answer to that would be ‘Grammy Rap.’ There’s ‘Mumble Rap’ and then there’s ‘Grammy Rap.’ With this project I was largely influenced by music theory and Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys. This is my attempt at a ‘rap’ Pet Sounds.”

Bishop Nehru is bringing the album to his fans in London, Toronto, New York and Los Angeles for a private listening session tour. A few selected fans get to enjoy the album before the public, and Nehru will also share some clues about his album during his tour.
