Dean Ween Facebook Post Teases Collaboration with Kurt Vile

Though hey may no longer be part of the duo outfit that brought him to fame through his eccentric and tongue-in-cheek song writing, Dean Ween seems to busier than ever recently. In addition to the new record that is soon to be released by the Dean Ween Group, recently re-titled to rock2, Ween has just posted very interesting Facebook post.

On Facebook, Dean, via the Dean Ween Group Facebook account, posted a picture from the studio with a rock ‘n roll-ing Kurt Vile, captioning it with “Me and Kurt Vile at my studio yesterday, recorded a really amazing tune–Delaware Valley represent!”

He posted it after announcing the album, so it’s not clear if Kurt plays on rock2 or if this is for something else, but stay tuned.

The Dean Ween Group have also announced a limited American tour, with dates across the Midwest and New England. He will be kicking off in Indianapolis on March 21, before slowly working his way East until playing a final date on March 31 in New York City.

rock2 will be released March 16 via Schnitzel Records.
