The Misfits Announce First Reunion Show in Home State of New Jersey

The Misfits, one of the most famous American punk bands and originators of the horror punk sub-genre, are planning a reunion show with all of the original members. As NJ.com reports, “famed vocalist Glenn Danzig” will be “rejoining bassist and longtime Misfits flag-bearer Jerry Only,” as well as guitarist Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein, for one night only at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ on May 19th.

The Original Misfits has a reunion show back in 2016, but this will be their first home show in thirty-five years, with tickets starting at $49.50 on sale now over at Ticketmaster here. Danzig previously reported in November that he would be interested in playing more Misfits shows, so their appearance at Newark this Spring makes perfect sense. “I know Doyle wants it to continue. I know Glenn wants it to continue. We just have to be big enough people to make it continue. And that’s where we’re at,” he told Rolling Stone, “Whatever it takes. We’re going into our fortieth anniversary, so the timing couldn’t be more perfect.”
