Kendrick Lamar Teams Up With The Weeknd To Release New Song “Pray For Me”

The third single from the Black Panther soundtrack, “Pray For Me” has Kendrick Lamar teamed up with the Weeknd for an 808’s heavy banger tied to the Marvel film’s upcoming release. It’s the Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar second collaboration, the first being “Sidewalks” from The Weeknd’s latest Grammy Award winning album Starboy. “Pray For Me” follows previous Black Panther releases “All the Stars (feat. SZA)” and “King’s Dead (feat. Jay Rock, Future & James Blake).”

Kendrick Lamar recently announced The Championship Tour for 2018 with all of the TDE artists (ScHoolboy Q, SZA, Ab-Soul, Jay Rock, SiR), and The Weeknd was just announced as the first headliner for the Panorama Music Festival in New York City in July. The tracklist for the rest of the Black Panther soundtrack, due out on February 9th, was released last Wednesday, including songs from artists such as ScHoolboy Q, 2 Chainz, Jorja Smith, Khalid, Swae Lee, Vince Staples, Anderson .Paak, Ab-Soul, Zacari, Mozzy, Travis Scott, and more.
