Great news for the lovers of electro-pop, Chvches has just dropped the lead single off their forthcoming full-length record, “Get Out” and we can promise you it wont disappoint!

“Get Out” is a real bob of a tune, and front woman Lauren Mayberry vocals is a huge part of what makes this synth-driven song a hit! But don’t get me started on the video.

From the pastel-tinted footage and the cameras in nine different location, this video is far from ordinary but works to project the same symbol of a cryptic heart with a huge x across it. Giving the video a simple edge with yet so many unique touches.

After being nominated in 2015 for their album Every Open Eye, the track marks the Glasgow’s band first release in the past two years.

With their icons only status, the band worked with producer Greg Kurstin who previously collaborated with artists such as Adele and Sai, like we said, icons only.

According to sources the band gave an insight into what it was like working with someone like Greg Kurstin;

“Working with Greg was so different to what we’d done before, but it also felt so comfortable and like he’d been in our band forever. He doesn’t try to make you write a certain kind of song. He just listens and then Jedi puppet masters the best work out of you. The opening synth riff of “ Get Out”was the first thing to emerge on our first day in the studio with him.”

The songs vibe speaks for itself! Although Kurstin may have worked to design an amazing sound for the song, the bands musical abilities speaks volumes.

However, it has been a while since Chvch has put out new material but this song is definitely a great way to come back on the scene. Yet although the band may have been laying low, lead vocalist Lauren has actively remained in the spotlight for consistently vocalizing her support for sociopolitical issues like gun control, LGBTQ rights, feminism and planned parenthood.

But while we are grateful for the her consistent activism and passion to make a difference, we are sure the fans look forward to seeing her put that musical passion back on the forefront of her work hitting the ground running with more iconic music and there 2018 tour.
