The American hard rock supergroup of Mastodon’s Troy Sanders, Queens of the Stone Age’s Troy Van Leeuwen, At the Drive-In’s Tony Hajjar, and multi-instrumentalist Mike Zarin known as Gone Is Gone have released a new single today with “Phantom Limb.” As The PRP reports, The song was previously released as a 7″ record on Record Store Day last Black Friday, but now sees a digital release accompanied by an acoustic version of the song “Starlight” from their self-titled debut EP back in July 2016.
Their third show ever will take place at a Charity Art Auction for Smile + Wonder preschool in Los Angeles, CA, and is set to feature art from members of Pearl Jam, Incubus, Gojira, PVRIS, Gone Is Gone, and even more on February 8th. If you’re over 21, you can win 1 of 100 contest tickets to attend by emailing rsvp@smileandwonder, but the auction will be available to all online as well, just in case you wanted to bid on some of the art up for charity.
UPDATE (4/11): Gone Is Gone have added visuals to their epic new song “Phantom Limb.” The new video is directed and filmed by Bryan Bankovich for Newmerica. The clip is described as being like a watercolor come to life, with vibrant colors and visual effects featuring stunning scenes from the ruins of Fort Dade on Egmont Key in the Gulf of Mexico.
