Dinner Gets Grotesque in Fever Ray’s New Video for “Wanna Sip”

Fever Ray, aka Karin Dreijer of Swedish electro duo The Knife released a haunting new music video for her new track, “Wanna Slip.” It is the latest single from Dreijer’s new album Plunge, which came out late last year in October.

The new video for “Wanna Slip” is directed by Martin Falck and was filmed in Stockholm. It continues the narrative previously seen in other Plunge music videos including “Switch Seeks Same,” “A New Friend,” “To The Moon and Back,” and “Twosome Takeover.” Here, dinner gets a whole new makeover. One that would make Hannibal Lecter want to come over and be a guest. The clip, in all its purple hues and dark lighting, stars Dreijer and Nadja Hjorton at a sumptuous and foreboding two-person feast which ends in a cool choreographed fight/dance sequence.

Accompanying both the video and remix is details of Fever Ray’s first North American tour in over eight years. Following an extensive European tour in early 2018, Fever Ray’s North American trek will commence in mid-May and will feature shows in New York, Montreal, Chicago, Seattle, and Los Angeles. Fans can pre-order their tickets today, and general tickets go on sale beginning Friday, January 26th at 10 am local time. For more information, visit his official website here.

Plunge hit stores in October of 2017 and had critical success. By the end of the year, it popped up on numerous Best Of lists. CD and LP editions of the album will be available in early spring and fans can pre-order and stream it here.
