Within the space of two decades, we’ve had the opportunity to witness Forecastle Festival grow from a small , local event to a ‘national happening’ that annually takes the America by storm! Yet even with becoming mainstream, Forecastle still holds on to its roots, grounded in its Kentucky feel.
Celebrating its annual 16th year, Forecastle Festival aims to set the trail blazing July 13-15 2018 at Waterfront Park in Louisville, Kentucky, with amazing acts like Arcade Fire, Chris Stapleton and Modest Mouse as the Festivals headliners. With artists such as PJ Harvey, Run the Jewels, Nathainel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, GRiZ, Baseball and Charles Bradley taking the stage last year, it’s not surprising that 2018s lineup follows the exact same pattern of icons.
2018s Forecastle announces acts such as The War On Drugs, Jason Isbell, Father John Misty & The 400 unit, T-Pain, Kurk Vile and the Violators dozens of other performers (the remaining lineup is bellow). Tickets are scheduled to be on sale through all major Ticketmaster Outlets as well as through ForecastleFest.com Friday, January 19th at 10am. The standard tickets are starting at $149.50 (including fees), with the VIP weekend passes are slightly more, but offering an even greater experience, with exclusive Forecastle merchandise and special entrance lanes into the festival.
Forecastle clearly looks after their exclusive VIP ticket holders as the luxury doesn’t stop there. With elite viewing passes to the Mast and Boom staging areas, air conditioned lounges with a VIP hang out area including a bar! What more could a fan want?
The 2018s new incentives also include Yacht Club ticket options as a replacement of the GA Plus ticket option from 2017s festival. This alternative allows those with Yacht Club tickets, to gain special entrance lanes into the festival as well as the opportunity to have featuring access to the Mary M. Miller Steamboat and Boathouse!
2016 and 2017 was thought to be great years of the Forecastle Festival, seeing a large audience rate of over 75,000. But who can be surprised when considering how this festival has developed such a renewed national attraction! From their influential speakers to their national art collectives, the Forecastle Festival has remained extremely rich in culture , both with its music and within its activism. The event continues to showcase more than just the amazing artist but the city’s culinary and arts scene, that continues to guarantee its success, year after year.
