With a new year comes a fresh cut of music festivals to fill the air with loud music a million chances to make memories. Today, the first phase of California boutique festival Lightning in a Bottle has arrived. The list, fully packed with outstanding performers including Anderson . Paak & The Free Nationals, and The Glitch Mob, just to name a few.
Unlike the other music festivals that come and go, Lightning In A Bottle stands out. Jesse Flemming, the music director and co-founder of LIB expressed that, “We’re definitely not trying to play the same game we are seeing with all the massive festivals these days when we book our music programming. Forget the big names you can see at 10 other festivals this year. For us, the goal is to craft a musical playlist that will perfectly guide people along the experience we’re trying to create.”
The hip-hop duo Anderson . Paak alongside producer Knxwledge, known together as NxWorries recently released their second album Yes Lawd! The Glitch Mob is an electronic trio from Los Angeles. They released Piece of the Indestructible, a three-track EP back in 2015. Other performers set to perform at this year’s Lightning include experimental world fusion group Beats Antique, Los Angeles DJ/producer Jennifer Lee, a.k.a. TOKiMONSTA, Portland-based electronic producer Emancipator, and Bay Area talent Giraffage.
