American hardcore punk supergroup Dead Cross, composed of guitarist Mike Crain (Retox), bassist Justin Pearson (the Locust, Head Wound City and Retox), drummer Dave Lombardo (Slayer and Fantômas) and vocalist Mike Patton (currently of Faith No More and Fantômas), have just teased new music on Twitter.
The post, from Dead Cross’ official Twitter account @_Dead_Cross_, consists of a picture of all the band members’ instruments and recording gear, along with the caption “Destroy or be killed. #DeadCross #NewMusic”. Well if that isn’t an announcement for music to come I don’t know what is.
Dead Cross released their eponymous debut record earlier last year in August, putting their heavy mix of hardcore, thrash, and noise rock front and center while eviscerating the eardrums of any listener. The band even covers Bauhaus’ goth classic “Bela Lugosi’s Dead.”

UPDATE: According to a recent Facebook post by Dave Lombardo, Dead Cross have been in the studio tracking new material with producer Ross Robinson (Korn, Slipknot), with plans on releasing something very soon. Check out the post below.
