As reported by Blabbermouth, groove-rockers Clutch have entered Sputnik Sound studio in Nashville to record their 12th studio album with producer Vance Powell (The White Stripes, Red Fang). This marks the first album from the group since 2015’s Psychic Warfare, which won the group plenty of critical and commercial success.
The band has been performing a slew of new songs during their most recent live dates, with the new material showcasing more doom heavy sound filled to the brim with bludgeoning riffs and swinging grooves. Clutch just recently wrapped up a massive year in touring, appearing on a killer touring package with Devin Townsend and performing as a special guest opening for Tool during their headlining show at the Glen Helen Amphitheater over the summer.
Known for their tireless work ethic and slamming groove-oriented sound, Clutch won’t be taking a break from the live stage for long as they have been announced on the bills for both the Las Rageous and Rocklahoma festivals.
