The festival circuit is at it again as lineups for music festivals all over the world are being released. Boston Calling is one of those guys. As released through Billboard’s site, the 2018 lineup is chock full of amazing music. The lineup headliners include Eminem, The Killers, and Jack White. Other artists include The National, Tyler, The Creator, St. Vincent, Khalid, Fleet Foxes, and Big Thief. You can buy their “Early Bird” tickets here.
Boston Calling is, of course, a Boston-based music experience that began in 2013. The festival used to take place in May and September at the City Hall Plaza, with an attendance of 22,000 people. However, in 2016 Boston Calling announced move to the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston in 2017 and that it will only be held once a year in May. They also decided to include comedic acts into their festivals. They have been praised by the likes of Rolling Stone and The Boston Globe and have also been named one of the top 10 festivals in the United States by music blog Consequence of Sound. There may have been some rumors revolving performances by the group Belly, however, according to Brooklyn Vegan, the non hip-hop belly will ONLY be performing at this year’s Boston Calling.
The Festival is co-produced by The National’s Aaron Dresser and has featured past acts such as Sia, Modest Mouse, Kendrick Lamar, and many many more.
