As mentioned and touched upon in the previous article about 2018 International Days Festival, Noel and Liam Gallagher will be performing separate sets at the same festival this coming June in Italy. Since the breakup of Oasis, the Gallagher brothers have been in a world famous feud calling each other out on an insurmountable amount of things. In fact, the last picture of them in which they look, at the very least, that they’re tolerating each other is a picture of Oasis in 2008. According to our past article on the subject, the family feud began when Liam was 15-years-old, both drunk and high at the moment, decided to pull a prank on his brother which involves peeing on his brothers speaker system during a party. However, when Oasis broke up in 2009, the feud seemed to escalate more and more, almost seeming that a violent fight might break out between them. As our previous article states, “they’ve been verbally assaulting each other in the press, calling each other everything from a “potato” to “a sad f-ck.”” However, a recent tweet from Liam Gallagher on December 19th of 2017. He writes, “I wanna say Happy Xmas to team NG it’s been a great year thanks for everything looking forward to seeing you tomorrow AS YOU WERE LG x.”
Has their almost decade long feud finally ended? Are they finally on good terms? All the information we have is from Liam’s twitter. He even responded to a twitter follower saying that he and his brother “are all good again.” Now this begs the question: in a year of reunions and reissues will Oasis finally join back together for a small time? Or will there be amicable sets during I-Days involving guest features from both brothers? Only time will tell, but it seems Liam and Noel Gallagher are finally easing off each other. The brothers have also both recently released solo albums, bringing both of them to No. 1 on the UK charts.
Regardless of the feud and a possible Oasis reunion, Noel has been on record saying a reunion would only be for money. For now, let’s hope this brotherly love sticks and grows.
