Jessica Lea Mayfield Gets Revenge On Santa Clause In New Video for “To Heck With Ole Santa Claus”

Jessica Lea Mayfield has released a music video for “To Heck With Ole Santa Claus”, where she gets revenge on Santa. This follows the artist’s release of Sorry Is Gone.

The video is a part a cover of Loretta Lynn’s “To Heck With Ole Santa Claus”, which is a part of Amazon’s Indie for the Holidays playlist. The video was directed and eddited by Christopher Good and produced by Andreina Byrne. According to Paste Magazine, Mayfield released a statement saying, “I love Christmas so much and was super excited to get to record a song for ‘Indie For The Holidays. I’ve been hearing my mom sing this song my whole life—the original version is a lot more upbeat. I felt Christopher Good’s video treatment for this version was perfect.”

The video starts with the artists with her shooting presents in the air. The artist feels vengeful because she didn’t get what she wanted from Santa, while one of her relatives did. As the artist is being drove and sitting in the back of the truck, she finds people who got the note “IOU” from Santa. Together the people in the truck along with the artist work together to prevent Santa from having the cookies he finds, along with the presents and the sleigh. Santa sees these items being blown up. The video can be watched below.
