Sleep, the doom metal band from San Jose, California, were very popular and influential back in the 90’s before the break-up and reunion in 2009. Reportedly working hard on their fourth studio album, bassist and vocalist Al Cisneros talked to Metal Injection back in 2014 to confirm, leaving no other information about the release. Shortly after, the single “The Clarity” was released for the Adult Swim Singles Program 2014, but that’s all we’ve recieved from the doom metal group thus far.
Recently, Sleep just had to cancel their Australian tour over allegations of sexual assault from the tour promoter Life is Noise against promoter Dave Cutbush, who was let go immediately. According to The PRP however, those January tour dates won’t go Sleep-less, as the time once meant for Australia and New Zealand will now be in the U.S. Four new dates have been in announced for January 2018, which you can check out below, as well as a tentative plan for their fourth studio album to arrive next year as well.
