Grammy-nominated for their contribution to film Baby Driver, Run the Jewels have released the video for one of their other tracks “Call Tinkerton,” off of their record RTJ3, directed by Brad and Brian Palmer of Surround. The video features the rap duo, El-P & Killer Mike, performing for a sold out show at Madison Square Garden in New York City, just as its described in the song. As the audience starts to disappear, chaos ensues. The news reports a distress number to call as aliens and a giant tarantula terrorize the city.
They also just released a stellar new track off of Statik Selektah’s new record 8 entitled “Put Jewels On It.” Their last video for the track “Don’t Get Captured” received some claymation visuals and political commentary. “Call Tinkerton” shows the other, goofier side of Run the Jewels. Touring all over in 2017, Run the Jewels have performed at Primavera, Lollapalooza, Glastonbury, Made In America, Pitchfork Paris, FYF, and the Meadows as well as an upcoming stint with Lorde and Mitski.
