Kesha and Macklemore plan to tour together in 2018. ‘The Adventures of Kesha and Macklemore’ Tour will be presented by Live Nation and combines two artists who have just ended big projects of their own. Kesha’s most recent album Rainbow has been hit. She just finished a sold-out tour and is up for two Grammy nominations. Macklemore just had his first solo effort in twelve years debut at No. 2 on The Billboard 200, and No. 1 on the charts for Rap R&B/Hip-Hop and Independent Albums. Not bad for his first solo effort in a dozen years. It almost seems superfluous to mention that Macklemore’s song “Glorious” has been viewed over ninety-five million times. His last tour, like Kesha’s, was completely sold out.
The powerhouse duo’s nine week tour will hit thirty marks as it travels across North America. Starting June sixth at Ak-Chin Pavilion in Phoenix, Arizona, the tour will end on August fifth at the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheater in Tampa, Florida. Tickets will be on sale this Friday, December fifteenth at twelve o’clock noon at LiveNation.com. One dollar from each ticket will be donated to charities of the artists’ choosing. Kesha has announced that her proceeds will go to RAINN (Rape, Abuse, & Incest National Network), the largest anti-sexual assault organization in the US. Macklemore’s will go to M Plus1, an organization works for racial and social justice.
Kesha’s recent live performance in Nashville prompted Rolling Stone to describe it as “one of the most positively uplifting, inclusive concert experiences available in 2017.”
Macklemore’s video’s perhaps aren’t as detailed as the likes of OK Go, but they have been viewed more than 2.7 billions times. He also happens to be one of only two rappers that holds a Diamond-certified single. Eminem’s “Not Afraid” is the other.
