U.S. Girls and Their Fiery 8-Piece Band Announces Spring 2018 Tour Dates

Meg Remy will unveil a new 8-piece lineup of U.S. Girls this spring as details for a tour have been announced. The trek will see U.S. Girls crisscrossing the western half of the continent, with a stop in Austin in time for SXSW, before finishing up with a run of shows on the East Coast. The tour will be in support of a new record, In a Poem Unlimited, which is set to be released on February 16th via 4AD records.

The album will mark the 8th full-length release for the project, which serves as the recording moniker for Remy. Two singles have been released already, “Mad as Hell,” and “Velvet 4 Sale.” Both songs, along with the rest of the record, grapple with the current state of social affairs between men and women in the U.S., reflecting the charged atmosphere of the modern era of speaking out about sexual harassment and violence towards women and dealing with the consequences, along with other feminist overtones. Musically speaking, the record continues Remy’s exploration of dreamy pop, and classic 80’s synth sounds to compliment her icy cool vocal delivery.
