American Nightmare Tease New Music Announce Winter 2018 Tour Dates with Pissed Jeans

American Nightmare, also known as Give Up the Ghost before changing their name due to legal reasons, released two awesome albums in the early 2000’s and broke up in 2004. But back in 2011, American Nightmare, once again using their original name, reunited for few live shows. Now, according to the Brooklyn Vegan, they have apparently ended their 15 year music drought by teasing a short clip of tunes on their Facebook page. Using only the word “February” in the caption, American Nightmare have stirred up some hope in fans with this teaser of a possible new album from the group. If it’s what we think it is, it will mark their first album since 2003’s LP We’re Down Til We’re Underground via Rise Records. Fortunately, bassist Josh Holden came clean in full on his Instagram account, where he wrote, “We made a new record. It will be out in February.” Whether it’s a full-length or an EP is yet to be known. Check out the teaser below.

American Nightmare have also included an announcement of tour dates in February and March. The 14-date run will find the band sharing the stage with Pissed Jeans, No Warning, Spiritual Cramp, Protester, Cloak/Dagger, Abuse of Power, Torso and Fireburn at different stops. Tickets went on sale yesterday.

I composed music for a few months in college while living in New York which further sparked my passion for a career in the music industry. Live music is one of my all time favorite things to experience; First Avenue is my favorite venue, might be bias since I was born and raised in Minnesota. Happy ears, happy years.
