Coming up in 2018, pop-punk band A Day To Remember (ADTR) will be touring across North America to celebrate their 15th anniversary. The month- long trip will be accompanied by special guests Papa Roach, Falling in Reverse, and The Devil Wears Prada, seeing Chicago at the end of February.
This much-admired band has been 15 years in the making. Brought together in Florida in 2003, the group has gone on to gather a massive following, earning many accolades along the way. Current members Jeremy McKinnon (vocals), Neil Westfall (rhythm guitar), Joshua Woodard (bass), Kevin Skaff (lead guitar), and Alex Shelnutt (drums) will all be rocking out at the Pavilion next month.
With their latest album Bad Vibrations hitting a career best #2 on the Billboard charts last year, they will most likely continue to back this album while on the new tour. However, this of course will not stop them from playing hits like “Paranoia”, “If It Means a Lot to You”, and “All Signs Point to Lauderdale” along the way.
The musical styles of ADTR has been described by critics as a combination of emo, post-hardcore, and metal. This creates a unique twist on metalcore that contains a dash of pop punk. Themes within their songs, combined with the comradery of fans at shows creates a special experience. This is what inspired ADTR’s first ever Self-Help fest in 2014. Jeremy McKinnon explained that their music is almost healing for their fans, and is more than just a concert to them.
Being the 15th anniversary tour of the bands conception, it is sure to be an event that is special for all of the band members, as well as a day to remember for their fans. Currently, the group is offering a “commemorative pit pass” on their website that includes special features such as early entry. To get yours follow the more ticket info link below!
