Another February show for the books. Lights is coming to the Regent Theater Feb. 06, 2018 and it’s going to be a Tuesday night to remember. Supported by Chase Atlantic and DCF, the all ages event will cost $22.50 in advance and $29.00 the day of. Doors to the show will open at 7:00 PM and the event will begin at 8:00 PM. Spaceland has done it again, Angelenos. Make sure you cop your ticket before it sells out.
Lights will be going on tour beginning in Seattle at the Showbox. The tour, called the We Were Here tour, will span over 36 dates across the nation. Needless to say, Lights is going to be a little busy this year. After Seattle, the artist will head to California, first making a stop in Portland, Oregon at the Wonder Ballroom Feb. 3. Next, she’ll perform in San Francisco at the Fillmore Feb. 5. From there is the show in Los Angeles, and then a show in San Diego at the Observatory North Park the next day.
Lights is a musician, singer and songwriter hailing from Canada. She is also the author of a comic book, Skin & Earth, which is also the name of her latest album. Her concept album has been widely anticipated, with Billboard saying that this album truly sets Lights apart from others who have tried to do this before her, as previously reported by mxdwn. She has released three other studio albums and four EPs; The Listening (2009), Siberia (2011), and Little Machines (2014), as previously reported.
Lights began her career as a songwriter, first breaking into stardom with her work on the television series Instant Star. In 2008, she released a self-titled EP that led her to release The Listening, which is critically acclaimed and certified platinum, as previously reported. The album topped at number seven on the Canadian charts and number 129 on the US charts.
Siberia reached the top of Canadian charts, earning worldwide praise. The album is also certified gold. Little Machines, another critically acclaimed album, debuted at number five on the Canadian charts and peaked at number 34 on the US charts. Her latest album peaked at number three on the Canadian charts and topped at number 95 on the US charts.
