Hot Snakes Played New Songs From Upcoming Album At Bell House

Around mid August Hot Snakes fans received awesome news when it was announced that the San Diego post hardcore band would be making their way back on the scene after seven year hiatus. From 1999 to 2005 Hot Snakes members Rick Froberg, John Reis, Gar Wood, Jason Kourkounis, and Mario Rubalcaba created well received albums such as Automatic Midnight, Suicide Invoice, Audit in Progress and Thunder Down Under which made Punk News describe the group as “hardcore garage punk.” After their spring 2005 tour in Australia ended, Reis announced that Hot Snakes would be breaking up and wouldn’t unite until they briefly reunited back in 2011.

Since their announcement this past summer, Hot Snakes signed to Sup Pop records, who will release their new album as well reissue their first three albums, and have recently completed a nine stop tour across the country. While there hasn’t been any release of new music, according to reports from Brooklyn Vegan Hot Snakes played a couple of new tracks while touring in cities such as New York City, Portland, Philadelphia Los Angles and more. Below you can checkout Hot Snakes performing one of their new songs, which it said to be called “I Need A Doctor,” from their upcoming album.
