Thanks to an Amazon leak, details surrounding Glassjaw’s latest project have been revealed. The album will be titled Material Control, and will be released with Century Media Records. Fans can expect the album to be released on December 1st.
The Long Island based progressive-hardcore band first formed in 1994, under the direction of longtime friends Justin Beck (guitar) and Daryl Palumbo (vocals). The band has changed a lot since then though. The band has seen almost as many line up changes as Journey. In 2015, former Glass Cloud members, Travis Sykes (bass) and Cad Hasty (drums) finalized the lineup (for now).
Since 2002, the intense live performers have also taken many long breaks from touring. They play from time to time, but not nearly as often as they used to. This is due in part, to their sparse music releases over the past couple of years. Their last LP, Worship and Tribute, was released in 2002, their last EP, Our Color is Green, was released in 2011, and their last single, “4-20 Thoughts,” was released in 2013. Now, the band is back in business and set to release more new music this December.
