According to Stereogum, Godflesh, the industrial metal band from England and Justin Broadrick’s project, have just released new song “Be God.” The pulverizing song comes from their latest album Post Self set to release on November 17, and have also recently shared the title track. The metal outfit formed in 1998 in Birmingham and temporarily disbanded in 2002. Since reuniting in 2009, Godflesh continues with their baleful musical tendencies, as “Be God” is another seemingly dark and heavy song. The distortion of Green’s bass creates a sound so thick and burly it almost sounds ambient. Listen to the fifth track off their upcoming album below. Pre-orders for Post Self are available now through the Godflesh Bandcamp page.
