Goldenvoice Presents The Spill Canvas At The Roxy Theatre 12/11

The Spill Canvas is coming to Los Angeles to perform at the Roxy Theatre this December and concert-goers won’t want to miss it. The tour is in celebration of the 10-year anniversary of their hit album No Really, I’m Fine. The band is set to play all of their third studio album, as well as some new material towards the end. The Spill Canvas is supposedly ready to record a new album next year, after a five year hiatus.

Performing on Dec. 11, the Spill Canvas is bringing LA’s WILD and Costa Mesa’s Super Whatevr for support. The show begins at 7:00 PM and doors will open at 6:00 PM. The event is all ages–everyone can attend. The ticket prices range from $17-$20, which is a total steal. Make sure to cop a ticket while you still can–this one is going to be a great event. What else do you have to do on a Monday night?

The Spill Canvas has 22 upcoming tour dates across the nation, with their next show Nov. 24 at One Centre Square in Easton, Pennsylvania. The ‘No Really, I’m Fine’ anniversary tour begins Nov. 27 in Salt Lake City, Utah and it’ll wrap up Dec. 19 at the High Noon in Madison, Wisconsin. There’s only two stops in California, one in San Francisco at the Social Hall SF Dec. 12 and the LA show the day prior.

Hailing from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the Spill Canvas is an alternative rock band that began as the brainchild of solo artist Nick Thomas. Thomas grew up playing in various punk bands and signed with indie label One Eleven Records at the age of 19. He recorded his debut album, Sunsets And Car Crashes (2004), entirely on his own. After releasing the album, he put together the first lineup of the group. Their sophomore album was released in 2005, titled One Fell Swoop. The following year, the band signed to Sire Records.

After two years of making new material, the band released an EP titled The Denial Feels So Good. No Really, I’m Fine was subsequently released the same year to critical acclaim. In 2008, the band released the Honestly, I’m Doing Okay EP after doing some touring. A pair of EPs followed almost two years later, including the album Formalities (2010). In 2012, the band released their latest album, titled Gestalt.
