Recently it was reported by Pitchfork that legendary hip hop group Beastie Boys plan on reissuing three albums from the discography on vinyl real soon. The Def Jam veterans/Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees went on their Twitter account to announce that their three final album To the 5 Boroughs, compilation album The Mix-Up and final album Hot Sauce Committee Part Two will be repressed and reissued on vinyl and will be available at local record stores on next month on December 8th.
After the passing of Adam Yauch, better known as MCA, both Michael “Mike D” Diamond and Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz haven’t put out any new Beastie Boys’ music in respect to their late friend. These vinyls will not only be a good items to reflect on the 25 year career of the Beastie Boys, but will also be a great way to honor MCA’s legacy not only in hip hop, but in music period.
