The black carpet was filled with heavy metal royalty Tuesday night for the first ever Loudwire Music Awards in Los Angeles, California. Every heavy metal sub genre was represented with performances by Body Count, Anthrax, Avenged Sevenfold, Power Trip, Halestorm and more. Hosting the event was WWE wrestler Chris Jericho.
Honorees at the event included legendary Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi, Rob Halford of Judas Priest (who performed with In This Moment) and Sammy Hagar of Van Halen and solo fame. Other guests at the event included Vinnie Paul of Pantera, Steve Vai, Wendy Dio, Chuck Billy and Alex Skolnik of Testament and Gary Holt of Exodus.
